**EDIT**
Changed the clouds...gave them more of a blur.

Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh BATMAN! (POW!)

After my last attempt at this picture, I had to come back with something 10x better. I think I achieved that!

This is for :iconimaginism:’s Fan Art Contest! The idea is to paint this sketch provided (see below).

My boyfriend had the great idea of doing the characters as super heroes. I decided to focus in on Batman. At first I really question I’m ability to pull this one off. I’ve never worked from dark to light (example: Batman or the buildings) so that was quite a challenge for me. I've also never attempted a full/complete background before. I get anxious or lazy and it never turns out right. This time I REALLY like my background! :excited: If you also notice, I used different versions of the characters. I have some old school mixed with more current stuff. :D

From left to right:
Alfred, Penguin, Batman!, Twoface, The Joker, Catwoman and Robin! :batman:

This is probably one of my favorite pieces right now.

Hope you all enjoy! Just an FYI, there is no fur because I decided not to give them fur. So don't ask me to put any on! lol.

A lot of time must have gone into this piece. I can tell right away. I like the creative take you did with this. In fact, it makes the original piece much more dynamic. I would have not thought of doing this if I had done my own version.

My only thing that I noticed was that there was not much put into trying to give more substance to those wearing black, even more so, our nocturnal hero, batman. More depth went into Joker's hair and clothes, and also Robin than Batman.

The clouds are a great choice and you did splendidly on the skyline. This is a very good piece from foreground to background. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />
